A Poem for the Motherland

A patriotic poem by Ayub, exclusively for Different Truths.

O! The Motherland
There is a dream,
A green-land of the dream is in front
Of my half-opened eyes,
In brim of the mirror of my heart
In the throng of awaking nights,
There is a reflection of rose
Which has the beauty of my heart
And the precedent of all seasons of yours.

There is a dream,
Which pulsates in the veins
Of my days and nights
As the radiance of the dawn of freedom
The dream which is the substance
Of my existence
The dream which is the essence
Of my poetic conscience
If I raise my eyes,
I find it in front,
If I walk,
I find it in the curls of serpentine route,
At each step it is the terminus of my curiosity,
If I stop,
I find it in the form of galaxy,
A beacon in the universe of my dexterity.
The deference of my word-sketching pen,

O! God of the sun and the moon!
The dream that is weaved in my half-opened eyes,
That is the course of my brief life,
That is the crop of my all seasons.
O God!
Bestow me an age,
So that I should entrust to the spring,
Such a mood
As it shouldn’t come in the reach of pangs of autumn,
Which shouldn’t come in the grip of fall and famine,
I wish to see that only a rose of peace,
Should remain behind blossomed forever.
