The pain and agony of a mother in an old age home has been evocatively portrayed, by Sarala, exclusively for Different Truths.
Behind that burning candle
There stands a heart
That weeps quietly
A rejected mother at
Old age home
Drowning in sorrow!
She starts chanting the
Beads for the safety of her child!
Nonstop she chants tears
Rolling down her sallow cheeks
Wrinkled with an agony of life!
As the candle burnt off
The darkness spreads everywhere
She heaves a sigh
A sigh that’s springing
Up from her painful heart
She fears everything in life
But holds on to her rope of faith!
She sits and chants
Throughout day and night
Without sleep
Her only wish
Her child’s safety!
She falls off to sleep
Early morning hours and
As she opens her eyes
She sees the Creator
In the glory of
The golden sunrays!
Her mind becomes
Calm once again
As a ray of hope peeps in
A faint glow entering her heart!
