When life seems cruel, in the arid desert, flowers bloom. A new hope and joy. Dr. Amrinder celebrates life, in this verse, for Different Truths.
This is the age of disillusionment
When lovers,
Having extracted all they could
Discard you like lemon rinds.
When husbands,
Who have tormented through life
Die a lingering death,
When children have flown the nest
To build nests of their own,
When siblings and friends
Have commitments of their own,
That takes them away from you.
Yet, in this desert of loneliness
I still have a reason to live
For in this sandy monotone
My grandchildren bloom
With a multihued fragrance
Like no other earthly bloom.
