A Sublime Nature Poem

An enigmatic poem by Deeya that celebrates nature, in Different Truths.

Butterflies soak the sun radiating virgin dreams
Butterflies soak the sun
radiating virgin dreams
on their wings
colours descend
from the morning sky
myriad
bees and wasps
trumpets
mysteries of the still air
in touch-me-nots and marigolds

The swerving sky on the
mouth of the gladiolus
in the wintry sun luxuriate
silence in this part of
the woods a prelude
to stories
from brambles bushes
of betrayal and lust

The Varuna and Agni
conspire in these woods
to unleash the fiery sun
the tempestuous winds
untamed sorrow
of splitting veins and throbbing hearts

Numerous tales
in supplication
overarch in these forbidden lands

lost autumnal chants of
crickets hedge-sparrows
the wily gnats
flitting across the piled rubbles
with a sprite are
now but a requiem to the dead
save the lone whisperings
of the troubled
acacias…
