Uzbekistan: My Motherland

Uzbek poet, Madinabonu, eulogises her motherland in this poem – an exclusive for Different Truths.

Uzbekistan - my Motherland,
The unexampled land in the East,
There are many countries in the world,
But you are the only one for me.
Your gardens are full of nick,
The Moon appears in your sky,
People say who have seen you:
“This land would develop fast!”
There is the Uzbek nation,
They are kind and merciful,
Hospitality is their habit,
Turkish people are our relatives.
Its history is its honour,
Today's vast opportunity,
And the generations of that nation,
Are very conscientious and decent!
