Shail talks about the importance of the discovery of a new blood group; talks about frequent flight crashes and panic, and she reiterates health measures in the kitchen exclusively for Different Truths.
New blood group discovered
And, you thought A, B, AB and O
were the only blood groups galore?
Well, here comes the rarest of
the rare, a new entrant in the air.
Gwada Negative is what it is called.
None else but one has it installed.
A mutated gene was the culprit,
Not at all a convenient pick.
Because if that one person
ever needed a blood transfusion
none other could provide a solution.
A 68 year old woman with her
roots in the islands of Guadeloupi
an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea,
and French scientists get
credit for this 48 th blood group
that could surely in adversity
put her into a soup.
Planes take panic flight
What is it in planes
that makes them plummet
ever so often?
We had it earlier in Ahmedabad.
This time though, it wasn’t that bad.
The Japanese Airlines flight
from Shanghai to Tokyo dropped
down 26,000 feet within minutes
causing panic afloat forcing
passengers to send across pins and
codes of their accounts
before they died.
Thankfully, all 191 people aboard
survived the fall and landed safely
to make an emergency landing.
Boeing is however under scanner.
Lead the lead out of the kitchen
Chuck out the old cookware
before it’s too late
or lead poisoning could
clench your fate.
I know, some of us use ancient
cooking ware out of sentiment;
it worked for Mother,
it will work for me,
is what you would say.
But dude, sis, everything comes
with an expiry date, kitchen ware too!
A 20 year old cooker (can they even
last that long?!) caused a fifty year old
man in Mumbai severe lead poisoning.
Didn’t know food and lead could
even cause such a thing.
Memory loss, kidney problems,
brain damage too.
So, if you have old ware in your kitchen,
you know what to do!
Invest in some new vessels
and cook some delicious healthy stew.
