Mesmerising Athirappilly: The Ultimate Monsoon Escape

I stand
awe struck
in front of you,
Oh, profuse
torrents of
Athirappilly
my Green
Kerala!

this monsoon
brought out
the best in you
your bounty
in abundance
full!

here flows
humanity,
crystal clear
waters
gathering
from
interstices
of the rocks
formidable
gathering
gaining
strength, taking
giant strides
leaping
falling,
flowing
for all...

oh, the roar
of it!
the thud
knocking
on floors
sweeping in
baptising!

Mother Nature
thy marvels!

it was worth
my visit
to you, on this
Independence
Day!

how you teach
there can
be strength
when hearts
are one, how
streamlets
from shaky
pores
means a lot
when they
gather
to erase
the evil
cleanse
and nourish
the world
around...

let us carry in us
thy roar of
free flow
to sweep over
our meshed up
lives
yours the
voice of
humanity,
moulding
a future,
joining hands,
minds,
to nourish,
flourish
the lives
of all,
enriching
the world!

you the kind
Waters
of Athirappilly!
as you fall,
fall on our
hearts, our
conscience
to renew,
rejuvenate!
