Rajashree’s poem is about separated hearts that yearn for reunion, as love captures the pain of being apart for Different Truths.
When the night rests,
The lovesick feel restless in an impenetrable solitude.
A fear of not reaching his beloved
Kills him out and out along with his attitude.
Their grieving hearts keep on lamenting
Over the ill luck encircling,
While their melancholic voices
Appearing as a nude reality
Beyond any choices.
An ultimate question then perturbs
As to how long the suffering can continue,
Without definite support or hope.
The sky looks blank and wet with torrential tears,
As if lost in a reflective love.
A state of infinite heartbreak
Awaits a formidable footstep at every sequence.
Their heart starts pounding with hope,
Though not assured yet.
A continual waiting
Keeps burning the separated hearts like a candlelight,
While desires get swayed.
Words are inadequate to narrate them
And their plight.
May all wish
The separated souls meet to re-establish
That a morning always succeeds
A restful night.
