Those Words

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

A protest poem, by Deeya, exclusively for Different Truths.

Those words would remain
they said,
stick in the eye
protrude in the tongue
bruise the air

Words, till the end would remain
the legacy of the dervish here
yellow with strife and decay

It would rise in mutiny
rise from its bed of dead foetus
shallow and crumbling

The curse of the Mountain Gods
proclaim death
death for many-

The volatile ashes rise in the air
singing of ruggedness and storm
singing of a slow dying ember
