Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem about Nature, by Chaitali, exclusively for Different Truths.

In those days,
when Time,
before Time,
held her lopsided gaze
in the mirror of long moments,
patiently waiting for awakening;
when the fire in sun bled,
like glowing coal, dying down to the dark-
mysterious and liquid;
throbbing, pulsating,
in the cavernous expanse of nothing,
dust scattered, then, in hazy oblivion
ashes spewed out chaos.

And the earth, holding her breath
lay frozen, in winter’s solemn embrace.
Then His words, like dying embers,
drew dreams from dust.
And, reignited the heart of sun
from spark to flames.
