Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Sudipta’s poem, exclusive to Different Truths, tells a love story 16 years after his departure, expressing hope and tears, marking a turning point in her dream.

Like a poem, it flows inside my soul –
I can't stop loving you, my love,
It keeps moving inside my mind
With my wet eyes,
I chase you,
even after sixteen years
of your departure from my life.

Madly fallen in love,
I don't know what is right or wrong
In the darkest night
The big stars sparkle like my eyes
They know the pain
of hanging in the clueless sky
My pain resounds the agony of solitary nights
In the vast harbour of the endless sea
I'm still waiting for your homecoming.

I sense you on the distant horizon
In a faraway land, you are aware of my longings
And I can hear the songs of our reunion
See, the wind that blows from your side
Carrying the messages for my restless eyes
No more, my soul will wander in the land of dreams.

Maybe for you,
This is the last letter I've ever written.
For I know that dreams can come true sometimes!
