Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem, by Monika, where the poet identifies with burning, exclusively for Different Truths.

Fire…
just an ordinary,
loves to glister,
and dance on her
own tunes.
No heed
of what burns;
no thought
of her purpose,
and no concern for
what would be left after.
Let me burn
no ordinary way;
not like a raging fire
but as a nascent Flicker.
With a gentle sway
giving some
warmth and light,
just to soothe.
