Like the Moonlight, I’ll…

An evocative love poem that serenades nature, by Monika, exclusively for Different Truths.

When sprigs
of a tree become
swaying silhouettes,

When lustre
touches the mien
of the graphite night,

When Heaven
above glitters
in a silver starlit veil,

When moonbeams
walk gracefully
on the lightless path,

When the moon-glint
paints golden hues
into the misty grey,

When the dainty light
warms the eyes,
until dawn arrives,

When the sunset hues
kiss the dawn,
waiting as a standby.

Like the Moonlight
I'll caress you,
but wispily.
