Focus: Fines in Down and Under, Path of Buddha and Smooth Beauty

Aussies fined for not voting

Not all vote, you know.
Some do, others let go
like a relationship gone haywire.
Still others think one vote
would make no big difference.
But, it does.
In Australia, this fact is highlighted
with a fine of AUD20 for a vote not cast,
$222 dollars fined by the court
if the reasons for not voting
do not abide by the rules mentioned.
At least, for the fine,
if not anything else,
people vote.
I guess, we need such a law
all over the globe
to abstain from corruption
and restore the rights of citizens
to vote,
to bring about reform
in a world in a hurry
to acquire positions of power
transforming posts of governance
into their personal bower.

Musk(y) claim to Buddha’s path

Following the Buddhist path is one thing.
Comparing oneself to Lord Buddha Himself
quite another.
This is what happens when you become
Musk,
the modern day technology power husk
where DOGE or Department of
Government Efficiency
decides what’s best for the nation
at the cost of lives, working
making a living
accusing them of free-living;
his huge computer monitor
in the White House his current
name to fame.
DOGE, a fancy insensitive game.

Price for hairless evolution

Would women be still rushing
to salons
to get their bodies waxed
if they knew their chances
of wound healing were less
when compared to those
with more hair
like our animal ancestors?
A price paid for evolutionary change!
Guess, this makes us more patient
when we find wounds taking
a longer time to heal
courtesy,
lost hair with their stem cells
that could have helped.
