Dr. Rashid Askari is a Bengali-English writer, fictionist, columnist and vice chancellor of Islamic University Bangladesh. He has authored six books, and quite a large number of short stories, articles, essays, and newspaper columns in Bengali and English published at home and abroad. He edited three volumes of English writings of Tagore, which was published between 2011 and 2013 by Dhaka Pathak Shamabesh as part of its 25-volume Complete Works of Rabindranath.
