Dr Chetna’s poem expresses a profound love for a mother, highlighting her unwavering devotion, despite a single day of thanks, exclusively for Different Truths.
How can I thank you for just a day?
When you're the light along my way
From whispered lullabies at night,
To guide me with patience might.
You gave me strength when I had none,
Taught me to fight, to laugh, to run.
You stood behind each choice I made,
With love that never dimmed or swayed.
They say there's Mother's Day in May.
But I need more than just one day.
You're in my smile, my every move,
In silent prayers, in acts of love.
Your hands have built the life I live.
With quiet grace, you always give.
You dried my tears, calmed every fear,
Your voice still echoes when you're near.
How could a card, a gift, a call,
Contain a love that’s given all?
You are my heart, my soul, my song—
A one-day thanks just feels so wrong.
So, every day, in all I do,
I carry endless love for you.
