December Reflections: Resisting the Turn of the Month

Seeking December’s soul Jennifer’s poems offer constellations as companions, nature as a muse, and art as the bridge between self and sky.

the illusion of warmth--
December sunlight
through the windowpane

***

the moon
the stars, the sun
orbital balance

***

I dip my brush
and enter in
to the flow

***

sometimes I’m just not
ready for the month to turn
I've got more Decembering to do

***

last year’s oranges
this winter’s
sunshine
