An evocative poem about death and solitude by Shernaz – exclusively for Different Truths.
The door dark as death Stairs with no destination The forever fleeting feet of time appear fossilised In the dreary greyness contemplatively she eavesdrops on the silence the voice of her soul urges her to open up to the immensity of life her inner realm is not grey the tartan patches shine as half-light within her revealing the clarity she seeks these deceptive walls liquefy before the miracle of the presence and grace contained in and around her.

Dear Shernaz, your poem compels one to pause and contemplate on the nuances encapsuled on every line! Read and re-read it a number of times. Beautiful!
Dear Shalini, your comment has made my day. Saw it just today, that’s why the late response. What more can I want as a poet? Immense gratitude!
She eavesdrops on the silence. (Hmmmmm)
