Loneliness

Shernaz verses about loneliness, muse, creativity and more, in this poem, exclusively for Different Truths.

A certain restlessness
sands my spirit
filing away at vivacity
creating a vacant room
in the inner realms

Out of this loneliness
possessing my psyche
arise specters
of limping creativity
braced by a jaded muse

Still I write, I write
knowing not what
sense my words make
Do they convey
what I want to say

to the outside world?
Who knows? The ceaseless magic
and beauty of our planet
slowly seeps into me
I am grateful for all that IS

Wasting no moments...none
of those that I am still blessed
with, in this winter of life
I must saturate evanescent time
with utmost aliveness.

  • Ahh Shernaz, you certainly DO whisper to my soul, and my spirit is further uplifted. What a wonderful gift you have to tell how there can still be loneliness though your creative mind is filled with beauteous thoughts and characters (next stop, the burning necessity to share!) Thank you, lovely lady!

  • Christine, that’s one of the most amazing comments I have received
One that I will always be motivated by, one to be treasured. I bow in gratitude.
