Dreams

An evocative poem, about dreams, by Harinder, exclusively for Different Truths.

I regard dreams as God’s blessings
Dreams can give you mindless ecstasy
Dreams can take you from the realm of real to the world of fantasy
Dreams can give you pleasures untold
Dreams can make a coward bold
Dreams can cure an incurable disease
Without going to a doctor, without paying his fee
In dreams, you can be with those you idolise
In dreams, you can write a book and win a Booker prize
In dreams, you can be a lion or a king
In dreams, you can in a melodious voice sing
Dreams are the directions showing you the way to go
Just like signboards on the roads guiding you with maps and arrows.
