My Garden in Lockdown

Amidst gloom and doom of the Pandemic lockdown during weekends, Dr. Jaya finds that her garden with its blossoms, heals. An exclusive for Different Truths.

Dewdrops nestle on the rose petal
It’s not yet time to take leave
Lush green of the grass wakes
Crowned with the sunshine bejeweled drops
The snail starts its ritual walk
Down the red cobbled pathway
The butterfly flutters tantalisingly
Around the yellow hibiscus
The cuckoo’s song breaks
From the veil of the mango foliage
 The monkey on the terrace
Broods over a leisurely scratch
The roots of the giant Banyan
Play the eternal intent audience
The sunshine dances in the fresh breeze
The tunes from all nooks and corners
Play the symphony of hope
My garden invites me during lockdown
To this concert every morning.
