An Unseen Cradle

An enigmatic love poem, by Sonali, exclusively for Different Truths

An unseen cradle was there between the sea and the shores,
Unseen footage of a sea gull vanished in the blues,
It was ninth moonlit night,
I listened to your heartbeats,
Heartbeats that continuously affect me, your many hues!

Cloudy monsoon broke down randomly,
Out of the crazy world, the waves smashed the rocks,
Where your shadows left behind; you were close to me,
From the wetlands, from the waves, a memory of the gull,
Are you there, still waiting for me?

I threw myself on the waves to challenge them,
Barefoot I was, lone,
From your strong cuddle to the soft waves,
It covered my silence, and I was blown!

Night hues brought so many memories,
Nights stood still; you were approaching tireless,
From those early notes of love and passion,
Under the yellow halfmoon,
Where the great vessel warmly welcomed us!
