She Threw Them…

A dark distress poem about a woman, by Saanj, exclusively for Different Truths.

She threw them all away.

Her pulse in her veins,
The pure thoughts in her brain …
That smile of joy, on her face
In time that turned into a grimace.
That sparkle in her eye,
Slowly, that she allowed to die …
That dream when she sleeps,
Where love was for keeps …
In that heart searing pain,
Where there was nothing to gain…
To the tears on her cheeks,
Her soul would quietly speak.
With her heart so sincere,
With all her feelings so true,
She forged a bond so strong,
It could never guide her wrong.
But break her it did,
Her spirit all askew,
Throw it away she did,
For it is valued by a special few.
