Memories

A poem of love and longing, of revisiting the past, by Sonali, exclusively for Different Truths.

I’d make you remember those days,
we used to depend on each other..
I’d like to carry the dreams, once I dreamt for you,
No matter, you succeeded not to bring all those dreams,
I’d make you know freely, what you choose to become, made my dreams…!
Not all succeed in life, still life bestowed us much,
How much were those cracks, how many times did they hurt us…
I gathered all those pieces, to make you sure, all those were cure for us!
Shine, fly high, as I dreamt decades ago, for you, only you!
You made my dreams your own, I know, far behind, leaving your own!
Dreams and desires go hand in hand, I see you in them…
Pictures tell all those stories,
My pride lives in you, in your untold stories, beyond all earthly fame!
I never loved you for what you are,
I know you, what you were, and want to see you much the same!
