An evocative description of night, in the Nature poem, by Monika, exclusively for Different Truths.
Here befalls the night again.
Once more ensued the
whispers of sweet nothings.
Relieving the jaded bones.
The day’s drudgery
thought of taking a pause.
The ‘Dusky Siren’,
caressed the skin as if
skimming the layered fatigue.
Above in the inky veil,
stars shimmered and simmered
scanty heat to icy feel.
The only speck of sheen
spilled from the mild moon, even so
her silver beam resembled a chilled streak.
