Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative love poem by Lipsa, exclusively for Different Truths.

This morning sky is misty
As if mourning for the departed
But the lights are on:
Butterflies die each day
The lights glow on

I remember the falling leaves
When I told you
I didn’t love you
As the last light of a gloomy day
Was devoured
By a never-ending night.

Will the earth not birth
A single snowdrop
To lead in a spring?

My soul’s charred remains
Are frozen:
Will she never let them thaw?
