Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative poem by Dr Pragya, a tribute to an elder, exclusively for Different Truths.

My antique watch stopped ticking today
I gently pat its face
as always
Hope it breathes again
I repeat in anxiety and dismay
Faster this time
Fear looming over
Gripping me harder
Freezing me inside
I tried to rescue her
But I lost my granny once again.
