Spread the love

Reading Time: < 1 minute

An evocative and bold poem by Deeya.

I survive;
the truth perched on my lips
on a crystal May morning sunlight
an alibi on my window-sill.

Different truths, walk the distance
in me,
I try measuring the steps
they are an eternity- my womb’s claustrophobic
from the severe -indulgence in love
morphine like, my mouth’s acrid
in the may noon

an archaic hour glides by
like a Falcon, feeding the hunger in my soul.
Hope is your silhouette the pitch dark hours of dawn
while the evening’s an orchestra of fathomless dreams
the narration an aftermath of kiss,
hanging on the skin I wear.
