Anoop Chatterjee, with over three decades in Indian cinema, has a Photography and Film Studies Post Graduate Diploma. He credits the University Film Study Center for shaping his career. Chatterjee trained as a cameraman at CIET and later in Malaysia and the U.K. He has contributed to commercials, serials, music videos, and feature films, with his documentary "The Last Death: Journey to Moksha" selected at the Philadelphia Documentary and Fiction Festival in 2012.Development in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the Thomson Foundation in Glasgow, U.K, he shot documentaries, short films, and educational programmes in New Delhi, before entering mainstream Hindi cinema.
