We are all guilty of relishing in the negative news about celebrities. Nikita takes a hard look at the media, rather a section of it that aggravates sour relationships, in the weekly column, exclusively in Different Truths.
Marriage is a promise for a lifetime. You vow to another person to spend the rest of your life with him or her. When we are talking about marriages in the glamour industry, cupid’s arrows strike repeatedly. Blame it on fame, beauty or luxuries, falling in and out of love come easy in the film industry. What makes it worse is the constant eye of media on a celebrity’s life. The media is quick to jump to conclusions; they are constantly stalking the private lives of the celebrities.

It is a question we all need to ask ourselves. We are all guilty of relishing in the negative news about celebrities. I was shocked to read news about Shah Rukh Khan’s youngest son. The media announced that the youngest child of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri was actually a love child of the eldest son, Aryan. It is not only the celebrities but their families receive a setback when the media makes assumptions about the lives of the celebrities.
Divorces are not easy to handle, especially for couples who have been together for over a decade. The role of the media is to spread awareness not create chaos in our society.
