True Love, at Last!

Reading Time: 1 minute

Here’s a love poem by Vatsala, for Different Truths.

Like an elegant knight
he softly holds my hand,
Lovingly, he imprints
protective kisses on my forehead

In contrast to my past-
Scars and bruises
left by mechanical love,
all this is so different

I the tropical greenness,
O my God! This is real,
On his chest my head rests
In his arms deep love swirls

I’m again in oblivion –
in some tinges of worries, all-grey
but his ardent kisses chase away
my , my
my insecure

As we hold each other tight
we can see through our souls’ eyes
all the Gods in heaven smiling
and showering us with their divine blessings.
