According to Derek O’Brien, TRS, TDP, SP, BSP, TMC, and DMK are already joining hands in parliament and outside. Muslim leader Asaduddin Owaisi, former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren and senior leaders and two MPs of Maharashtra have openly supported the formation of Third Front.

Reports say Congress may nominate Sushil Kumar Shinde for its lone Rajya Sabha in Maharashtra when elections are held on March 23 for six seats. Presently, the Congress and the NCP hold one seat each while the BJP and Shiv Sena share the remaining. Others names in the discussion are of Ratnakar Mahajan and Prithviraj Chavan while Shiv Sena is expected to renominate Anil Desai.
