The aroma of apple pie, apple cake, apple fitters and so many more delicious dishes gets the creative juices following in the mind of dessert lovers. Cutting, peeling, chopping, slicing and layering of this fruit is the most happening thing of this season.

My friend Barbara used to make the most lip-smacking apple cake. Before she left my city, I made it a point to learn it from her.

After trails and errors, I have perfected the art of making this cake. With its crispy corners and soft fluffy yet fruity inside, it has become a hit among my friends. Often during our get-together, I am asked to make this cake.

Hope you all enjoy making and tasting this cake as much as my loved ones do.
